Here is an article from The Stage website about a new drama Stephen has been filming recently.

Stephen Fry and Douglas Henshall are to star in an ITV adaptation of Ian Rankin’s book Doors Open.

The two-hour film, about an art heist, is being made by Sprout Pictures, the production company founded by Fry and Gina Carter.

ITV director of drama Laura Mackie said: “Doors Open is full of excitement with many twists and turns and it is as much a love story as an art heist. We have an A list cast lined up to bring Ian Rankin’s characters to life.”

James Mavor and Sandi Toksvig have adapted Rankin’s novel for the screen. It will be directed by Marc Evans.

Fry said: “I picked up Ian Rankin’s breathless and ingenious thriller Doors Open at an airport a year or so back and as I read I just knew it would make a thrilling, charming and original TV drama.”

Stephen is also starring in a new production at The Globe. This article is from The Stage and is about it.

Stephen Fry is to return to the stage in Twelfth Night opposite Mark Rylance at Shakespeare’s Globe this summer.

Fry will play Malvolio in the production alongside Rylance as Olivia, Samuel Barnett as Sebastian and Johnny Flynn as Viola. The company will also include Liam Brennan and Peter Hamilton Dyer, who will reprise the roles of Orsino and Feste, which they played at the Globe in 2002. Colin Hurley will play Sir Toby Belch.

Twelfth Night is being directed by Tim Carroll and will run from September 22 to October 14.
